Save the Samjhauta? Oh Really!
Save what?
I’m disturbed!!!
What’s bothering me?
Young children being sexually abused!? The Samjhauta express being bombed!? A bus getting burned down with more than a dozen girls trapped inside and the accused doesn’t get anywhere near a trial for years!?
Not really!
What disturbs me even more? They get into a trial; there’s a media hype, the politicians won’t give out a word about them terrorists (IF they got them into custody in the first place), special security personnel will be arranged to transfer them between the court and their fully furnished cell, non-vegetarian food will be provided for them once a week, precious time of our courts will be wasted, … the list is endless! Now where does the money for all this come from? I didn’t see our FM say anything about funds for terrorists in Feb last! :-/ Or maybe it falls under the funds allocated for Defense?!
But nah, I really don’t care about any of that shit! What bothers me most is that WE get burned down, WE get bombed, OUR children get gang-raped, AND, the government decides to run what they call a FAIR trial on these criminals with the money WE pay as taxes.
So basically, we pay the killers to get killed!
Even as our country still has a zillion things that needs improvement (which can well be managed within the tax money that is being collected), it really make me feel disgusted the way the government is approaching these issues!
Know what? If you ask me, they shouldn’t be spending TIME (whatever little our policemen have) and money on these inhuman people trying to run investigations or interrogations with them. What’s the point anyways? Whom are they trying to find? The brains behind it all?
I beg to differ. In my opinion, if they burn down a bus – we tie them together and burn them down, bomb them back, dunk them into the ocean, feed them to the wild, chop off their arms and legs and leave them on the road; I can think of a dozen other unmentionable ways. For one, it’s an easier verdict, find them, kill them… two; and most importantly, when they get the idea that this is what they will be suffering from if they get caught, there might be lesser and lesser crimes…
** Sigh **!! But Ma disagrees. In fact, she simply made a face and said “You’ve gone crazy!”
Maybe I have, but not by MY standards. I still think I'm right! :-D
This is what I prefer to call craziness!

....the children who died when a boat capsized in Kerala recently!
i abslutely agree.
i've always been all for capital punishment.
jus kill 'em wrong doers and be done with it, thats all. all this thing about democracy and fair justice is a bunch of crap.
PS: whats crazy about going bald though?
tirupathi ventakaramana govindaaa... govindaa...

CM,
u're hilarious. man u really do have a fun way of looking at things.
dear G3, i had to re-write my comments over a zillion times! Cos i have so much to say to you but i think for now a great big bear hug i sent to you, hoping it will calm you down and take away if not alot, at least a little of that anguish!
very true G3..we need to royaly F***k those Bast**ds..if u ask me...ella nay pasangaliyum savadikanam :)
What if, in all ur anger and haste, you burn or decapitate or drown the wrong person? Someone who had nothing to do with the crime though he might look guilty at first sight... Some one with a daughter just like you... would you think, "oh! that's ok. in the 'larger scheme of things', the number of bad people in the world is being cut down drastically. So what if one or two innocents (even if they are my dad or sister) are tortured to death along the way too?"
Is that going to be ok with you? Are you willing to risk that?
I strongly disagree! If you were the person who was a suspect would you like to be burned or maimed or whatever without having to defend yourself or prove that you are not guilty.
A wife kills her husband because he has been harassing her endlessly.. would you kill the woman?
Burn the men who burned the bus but what about the leader who inspired them to do it??
Wish everything was black and white but its not... Think.. sympathize.. empathize or we can go back and live in the caves.
Hey G3,
As Big B the world is black and white and we have to live with that.
Anyways on the lighter side, whatever Britney did is the choice she made but I was thinking now how will she wash her face...I mean how will she know where her forehead ends :-D
Cheers!!
hullo?
a week n no post? verry bizzy or waught?
SWU,
That IS a drepressing scene. Again, reflects how attentive Indian Trourism is!
DHARMA,
Nothing wrong about naturally going bald. But try running out of the rehad and getting ur head shaved for no rhyme or reason. You will see how many call u "crazzziee!" :-P
CM,
One of your poems again? That reminds me, I havent visited your blog in a while now! Wonder what's been cooking lately :-/
GOPS,
My my, look at that rage. Now I get it; I understand how I must sound in my posts :|
NAT and Big B,
I’m gonna address both of you here, since you have expressed the same concern.
I think the point here seems to have been lost. The question isn’t about risk, the question really is, how much money is really going into the unproductive task of tracing, interrogating, proving security for, et al to these people (if you want to call them that) from our tax money.
The argument of whether or not Capital Punishment should be imposed, is, and will be a debate for ages to come. But in India, the word in Democracy (One BIG fair game, as we’d like to call it) and I’m completely ok with it.
Not that anything I do or say is going to make a big difference!
But if it will, then all I’d like to say is, it really isn’t worth securing the so-called criminals/terrorists with 50% or more of the current Rs. 96,000 crores allocated to Defense for the fiscal year 2007-08. Not to mention another 30% or so being swindled by our fellow political leaders when our population and fiscal deficit is rising at a steady and terrifying rate. I personally believe it should get each of us thinking on those lines at least.
Far as politicians go, there really IS no fix. They don’t really reflect on such issues as just plain politics or economics. I think they’d like to comfortably call it political economy!:-| And that by itself says that it’s a truck load of bullshit with a lot of screw ups.
“A wife kills her husband because he has been harassing her endlessly...” that Big B is a personal issue. If that woman killed her entire husband’s family because she’s being harassed, then it becomes a public issue.
Besides, I may have sounded angry in that post, but capital punishment isn’t always imposed in haste, is it?
RIMS,
Wish the world was black and white, you're rite! Abt Britney, I have no comments :-|
And hey, thanks for dropping by. Glad to have found a fellow C&H fan :)
DHARMA,
Will.be.back SOOOON :D
How much money is really going into the unproductive task of tracing, interrogating, proving security for, et al to these people.
If you dont want to spend your tax money for tracing them.. how are you planning to give them your capital punishment?
(if you want to call them that)
People react in different ways in different situations and conditioned by the environment in which they grow and live in. I would prefer calling them people.
“A wife kills her husband because he has been harassing her endlessly...” that Big B is a personal issue. If that woman killed her entire husband’s family because she’s being harassed, then it becomes a public issue
Really? where did you find that definiton?
capital punishment isn’t always imposed in haste, is it?
Yes! If you don't have money!
try and listen to this song when you find the time:
